Doggie Howliday Movies You Can Enjoy with Your Pup

One of my favorite pastimes during the holiday season is to watch Christmas movies. Here are some great holiday movies featuring dogs that will warm your heart and make you Ho, Ho, Ho and your dog Woof, Woof, Woof.

Everyone loves a Charlie Brown film and A Charlie Brown Christmas does not disappoint. This great holiday classic features the whole Peanuts gang including our favorite cartoon doggie, Snoopy. Unhappy about the commercialization of the holidays, Charlie Brown seeks out the true meaning of Christmas. Watch Snoopy decorate his dog house, dance to Schroeder’s piano playing, and skate on a frozen pond.

A lesser known Peanut’s holiday classic, I Want a Dog for Christmas Charlie Brown features Lucy’s younger brother, Rerun van Pelt, who desperately wants a dog for Christmas. You’ll have to watch the film to find out if his Christmas wish comes true?

The 12 Dogs of Christmas is a heartwarming story of a young girl named Emma who is sent to live with her aunt in a town with a “no-dogs” law. The film features over 100 dogs of all breeds and sizes. You'll to watch to find out if Emma can change the town’s law.

The Disney classic short film, Pluto’s Christmas Tree is a delightful lesser known gem featuring Mickey Mouse and his dog pal Pluto. Watch Mickey and Pluto select and decorate their Christmas tree. Special appearance by Chip and Dale and cameos by Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck.

Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a wonderful animated version of the Charles Dicken’s classic, A Christmas Carol. The film features all your favorite Disney characters including Scoorge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge, Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchit, Jiminy Crickett as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and of course, our favorite dog Goofy as Jacob Marley’s ghost

Santa Buddies – The Legend of Santa Paws is a heartwarming film featuring lots of talking and singing dogs. When people around the world begin to lose the spirit of Christmas, the Santa Buddies--D-Dawg, Buddha, Budderball, Rosebud and Mudbud--head to the North Pole to help Santa save Christmas.

For those seeking a nostalgic feel this holiday, check out Yogi’s First Christmas. Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo are awakened from hibernation in Jellystone Park and are joined by their doggie friends Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy to celebrate the Christmas holidays.

Movie watching at the holidays can be a fun and enjoyable way to spend your time, so why not cozy up with your doggie and watch one of these great Howliday films.

Happy Howlidays everyone!
